This Like New surfboard has only been surfed lightly in small to fun sized Florida waves. The board has absolutely zero dings or repairs. It is as watertight and functional as the day it was bought.
Who should buy this board: Beginners/intermediates looking to step down from a longboard or fun shape, but do not want to jump all the way down to a high performance, potato chip shortboard (since that's always a bad call that just leads to frustration and regret). If you have any desire to become a shortboarder, or want to try a more forgiving, high performance shape, this board is 100% for you. I was in that exact position and this board let
me smoothly transition into the world of high performance shortboarding.
For advanced surfers, the Mini Pig is a good hybrid/alternative board if you are looking for a stylish, effortless ride that still allows for aggressive maneuvers like cutbacks/snaps/floaters.
For larger (than life) surfers: This boards volume enables heavy-set surfers to surf a hybrid performance board without the endless struggle of watching waves pass underneath you and your potato chip surfboard.
The Mini Pig offers a ton of down the line drive with the quad fin, Future system set up. Google how quad fin set ups allow for more drive (aka speed) through turns/cutbacks/pumps (excels in fast Florida beachbreaks).
It also allows for high performance maneuvers, and is forgiving enough to allow recovery if you find yourself going too fast and into the flats/shoulder. This happens sometimes because the board loves to fly down the line, especially if you're a speed hound like me who was learning to pump on this board. Great board for learning how to manage speed and position on wave.
This was my first board ever after renting countless fun shapes from surf shops and getting sick of not committing to surfing. My shortboarding skills went from a total beginner to solid intermediate in about 4-6 months of inconsistent practice on this board.
Very light pressure dent as pictured, totally cosmetic, no effect on ride
TLDR: Zero ding board that is fun and floaty, yet performancy enough for top/bottom turns and cutbacks/floaters.
